The most affected states of Corona include Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala. At the same time, 478 patients have died in the last 24 hours. During this period, a total of 52,847 patients have been cured. At present, there are 7,41,830 active cases across the country. That is, so many patients are either undergoing treatment in hospitals or are home quarantined. So far the death toll from Corona in the country has reached 1,65,101.

  • Maharashtra has the highest number of cases

Things are bad all over Maharashtra including in the country’s financial capital Mumbai. On Sunday, 11,163 new coronavirus patients appeared in Mumbai. This is the record for the highest number of cases in a single day in Mumbai. In this way, a total of 4,52,445 corona patients have been exposed so far in Mumbai. The death toll in the metropolis reached 11,776 metropolia with 25 patients killed, the Brihanmumbai Metropolitan Municipality (BMC) said in a statement.

Earlier on Sunday, more than 93 thousand new cases were reported in the country and more than five hundred people died. The active cases also reached close to seven lakhs. According to the updated data from the Union Health Ministry, on Sunday, 93,249 new cases were found, of which 49,447 in Maharashtra, 5,818 in Chhattisgarh, and 4373 in Karnataka. During this period, 60,048 more patients were free from infection and 513 people died, of which 277 were highest in Maharashtra, 49 in Punjab, 36 in Chhattisgarh, 19 in Karnataka, 15 in Madhya Pradesh, and 14–14 in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
