People from May 1 to 18 years and above are eligible for the Corona vaccine. Registration for vaccination has started from tomorrow. But the registration website and app is down…
From May 1, people aged 18 years and above are going to get the corona vaccine, for which registration was to be held tomorrow onwards, i.e. from April 28. As soon as registration started at 4 pm, the Cowin portal crashed. People started getting messages on the server. After the Cowin portal crashed, the public’s anger again reached the seventh sky, because the time of the first registration was changed.
Many people have also faced difficulties in getting OTP. Many Twitter users have said that OTP did not come on their mobile number during registration, due to which they could not register for the vaccine. Many people have complained about vaccination centres and many have not received appointments. Most people have complained about not getting a slot.
People are venting anger on social media. Many users have also said that the government has not taken any lesson from the instant booking of IRCTC. There is no preparation in advance and people are asked to register.
Though the Cowin portal has started functioning now, people are still struggling a lot. Many people have now confirmed registration. Arogya Setu has also tweeted that there was a problem in the portal but there is no problem now.
Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said people are unable to log on to the Cowin web portal for registering themselves for the next vaccination phase starting May 1 and highlighted the “shortage” of vaccines in the country.
At 4.35 pm, a tweet from the verified Twitter handle of the Aarogya Setu mobile application said the Cowin portal is working and that there was a minor glitch at 4 pm, which was fixed.
