Amidst the havoc of the Coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold an important meeting with 54 district officials of ten states today. However, it is believed that the Chief Ministers of these ten states may also attend this meeting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take stock of the ground conditions of Corona in a meeting with district officials to be held today. The most special thing about this meeting will be that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will also be involved in this. Mamta Banerjee has been away from many meetings before this. In this meeting, PM Narendra Modi will review the situation at the ground level due to the Corona crisis.
According to news agency ANI, not only will Mamata Banerjee attend this meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, but also the Chief Secretary and Health Secretary of West Bengal will be involved virtually. In addition, DMs of nine districts of West Bengal will also participate in this meeting and will inform Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the conditions of Corona in their respective areas. DM and other officials from Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh will be present in this meeting.
This will be the second meeting of PM Narendra Modi with the District Magistrates. Earlier on May 18, PM Modi held the first meeting on the conditions of Corona. In the first round, he spoke to the DMs of 46 districts of the country. Till now, PM Narendra Modi has held meetings with many Chief Ministers of the country regarding the situation arising out of Corona.
In several states like Maharashtra, Delhi, UP, PM Narendra Modi had a review meeting with the Chief Ministers regarding the growing corona cases. But now the Corona wave is spreading in the villages. In such a situation, PM Narendra Modi has now decided to hold district-wise meetings. He will talk to the DMs of the districts where Corona has more cases. Let us know that the effect of the first wave of Corona last year was mainly seen in big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, but now the effect of the second wave is also seen in the rural areas.
Corona cases have also increased rapidly in backward areas and rural areas of states like UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Kerala. However, in the last few days, the second wave of the corona has seen a weakening. For several days, new cases were seen more than 4 lakhs every day, but now this figure has come down to less than 3 lakhs. Since May 9, the pace of new cases has been steadily decreasing. Not only this, but the total number of active corona cases in the country has also decreased by 1,27,046. With this, the total number of active cases has increased to 32,26,719.
