PM Narendra Modi arrived on a two-day tour of Bangladesh on Friday. Today is the second and last day of PM Modi in Bangladesh. The first day was important from a diplomatic point of view, whereas the present day is going to be filled with political messages.
However, PM Modi first reached the Jeshoreswari Kali temple where he offered prayers. Jeshoreswari Kali Temple is considered to be one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. After performing the Puja, the Prime Minister said that I have got the privilege to worship at the feet of Maa Kali. PM Modi said that devotees of both the countries visit this temple of Maa Kali. PM Modi announced to build a community hall in the temple premises.
Not only this, PM Modi will also visit the temple of Matua community of Orakandi today. Orakandi is the place where the founder of Matua community Harishchandra Thakur was born Matua community is very important in terms of votes in Bengal elections. On Saturday, today, PM Modi will also visit the tomb of Sheikh Mujib ur Rehman in Gopalganj. He will be the first Indian leader to do so. Modi will inaugurate Bangabandhu-Bapu Museum. The leaders of both countries will also inaugurate the passenger train running between India and Bangladesh.
PM Modi will also hold talks with PM Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh. During this time many agreements will be signed between the two. Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abdul Momin said before PM Modi’s visit that at least five agreements between the two countries are expected to be signed. Apart from this, many projects will also be inaugurated virtual. PM Modi will meet Bangladesh President Abdul Hameed before returning back to Delhi on Saturday evening.
