Bengal election: chemical color thrown on BJP woman candidate, deteriorated health

 Chemical color has been thrown on the face of BJP MP from Hooghly parliamentary seat in West Bengal and BJP candidate from Chunchuda assembly constituency Lockett Chatterjee. A few drops of color went into his one eye, after which his health suddenly deteriorated. He was then rushed to a hospital in a hurry, where he is undergoing treatment. This incident happened during the spring festival in Rabindra Nagar Kalitla area of ​​Chunchuda. In a press statement from the BJP, it was alleged that under the leadership of Kodhalia-2 Gram Panchayat Pradhan Vidyut Vishwas, unknown persons threw chemical dyes at them.

The news agency ANI has quoted him as saying, ‘Chemical mixed paint was thrown at me for harming me. To see who threw it at me, I looked up and I had 3-4 people wearing TMC badges who did it. The Election Commission said on Saturday that 79.79 polling was recorded in West Bengal and 72.14 in Assam. Voting was held in 30 seats in West Bengal and 47 seats in Assam, for which a total of 21,825 polling stations were set up. During the election, 10,288 EVMs (Battle Unit and Control Unit) and an equal number of VVPAT machines were used in West Bengal. At the same time, 11,537 EVMs and 37 VVPAT machines were used in Assam. An EVM has a control unit and at least one battle unit (which has a button for the party’s election symbol) on the VVPAT.
