Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the school education department said that an amount of Rs. 327.42 lakh has been provided for 3638 schools in the state for the above works. Education Secretary Mr. ikRSn Kumar in a letter directed to convert Science Laboratories, Computer Laboratories and Libraries into Smart Labs / Libraries so that students could have a better learning environment. Rs. 9,000 per school has been provided for this purpose.
With this amount, school science laboratories, computer laboratories and libraries will be provided with smart laboratories / libraries for paint, flex, door mats, window and medicine curtains, wall clocks, display boards, newspapers, reading stands, etc. . At the same time the furniture will be given a new look with color. According to the spokesperson, the education department is fully committed to revamp the school infrastructure and the funds have been released in this direction.
