Punjab CM said not in favor of complete lockdown, but if situation does not improve, will be forced to take decision

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has made it clear that he is not entitled to complete lockdown. But warning those who do not comply with the restrictions imposed in the state, that if the situation does not improve then it will be forced to impose a complete lockdown. During the review meeting on Kovid, several ministers also suggested the CM to impose a lockdown. The Chief Minister said that he has so far avoided ordering a complete lockdown in the state as it is the worst hit on the poor. Migrant laborers have to migrate and there is chaos in the industries. He said that strict measures may have to be taken if restrictions are not maintained on behalf of the people. DGP Dinkar Gupta told in the meeting that all efforts are being made to strictly implement the existing blocks. PTI
