It was not so easy for the BCCI to decide to postpone the tournament because one corona infection after another exposed the IPL’s bio bubble to the whole world.

The Indian Premier League 2021 has been suspended midway due to the Coronavirus epidemic. A total of 29 matches were played in the tournament, but just before the 30th match came to the news that Kolkata Knight Riders’ Varun Chakraborty and Sandeep Warrier have been found to be Corona positive. In such a situation, the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and KKR on that day was postponed. Regarding this match, it has been said that this match will be held someday before the final.

However, after these two cases of the corona, it seemed that everything is normal in the bio bubble created by the BCCI, but it was only a few hours before the news came out of the Chennai Super Kings group that the coronavirus knocked is. This news had spread like fire on social media, in such a situation, the IPL administration also confirmed that three members of CSK are corona infected.

This news of corona infection also started coming from two more franchises and it was found out that Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Riddhiman Saha and Delhi Capitals’ Amit Mishra were also found positive. An emergency meeting of the BCCI and the IPL Governing Council was called in a hurry and the tournament was postponed indefinitely.

It was not so easy for the BCCI to take this decision because one corona infection after another exposed the IPL bio bubble in front of the whole world. In such a situation, the question now arises that when and where will be the remaining matches of Banki in the tournament, will be completed. However, the news came out of the BCCI quoting that the tournament will be started once again in September.

The 13th season of the IPL was held in the UAE. It was not that when the IPL was held in the UAE, there was no impact due to Corona. In the 13th season also some players and support staff were found to be corona infected but despite this, the tournament was successfully concluded.

In the same way, the women’s T20 league was also organized in the UAE along with the IPL, in which many famous sportsmen from across the country and abroad took part. At the same time, after the postponement of the tournament, the BCCI has been very bad about the bio-bubble of the 14th season and many questions were raised whether the IPL should not have been done in the UAE this year as well.

However, it is too late for this and now it is being said that the remaining matches of the 14th season of IPL can be done in September. In such a situation, the biggest problem facing the BCCI now is whether all the foreign players will be ready to come to India or play a board tournament in the UAE.

New Zealand

New Zealand may be the best option for the IPL event. In this country, corona infection is almost non-existent. Earlier also in the 13th season, the New Zealand Cricket Board had proposed to conduct IPL in their country but BCCI chose UAE.

If we talk about the rate of corona infection in New Zealand, then it is 0.1 per cent. Talking about the last seven days, 3872 tests were done in the whole country, in which not a single person was found positive.
