New Petrol and Diesel Prices have been released. Domestic oil companies on Wednesday slashed petrol and diesel prices after a long hiatus due to fall in international crude oil prices. Today, diesel is cheaper by Rs 17 and petrol by Rs 18. In Delhi, petrol is priced at Rs 90.99 per liter while diesel is priced at Rs 81.30 per liter. In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs 97.40 per liter and diesel at Rs 88.42 per liter.
The price of crude oil in the international market has declined by 10% in 15 days. The third wave of corona in Europe is expected to reduce oil demand there. As a result, crude oil prices fell from 71 71 a barrel to 64 64. At the same time, petrol and diesel prices change on a daily basis.
Petrol and diesel prices change at 6 am. The new rates will take effect from 6 p.m. Adding excise duty, dealer commission and other items to the price of petrol and diesel almost doubles the price. On the basis of these criteria, oil companies set daily petrol and diesel rates.
Earlier, no change was made till the 24th day. Last month, petrol and diesel prices were hiked for 16 consecutive days, pushing prices at an all-time high in almost every city.
