Renowned lyricist Rajendra Rajan passed away

Renowned lyricist Rajendra Rajan passed away on Thursday morning. He was 65 years old and was ill for two days. On Wednesday, he was admitted to the Medical College of Derasham Saharanpur due to worsening health, where he breathed his last on Thursday morning. Lyricist Rajendra Rajan was a big name in the literary world.

Originally 65-year-old lyricist Rajendra Rajan, a resident of the alum town of Shamli, moved to Saharanpur in 1980. His elder son Pallav retired from the Air Force and is employed in a bank while younger son Prashant works in a company. Rajan’s son Prashant told that his father was ill after coming from a poet’s conference in Lucknow two days ago. As a result, he underwent an investigation with Dr. PK Sharma in Muzaffarnagar, where he had an infection in his lungs, as well as mild salmonia. Due to this, his corona investigation was also conducted. Their RTPCR report is also likely to come on Thursday afternoon.

On Wednesday, he was admitted to Saharanpur Medical College due to worsening health conditions, where the doctor said that his oxygen level had reached 40, Rajan breathed his last on Thursday morning. The corona report may not have come but according to the doctor, Rajan had all the symptoms of corona, due to which his body was completely packed in plastic.

Had got the first dose of Corona vaccine

Rajan’s son Prashanth told that his father had got the first dose of the corona vaccine, while the second one was yet to be done. Meanwhile, his health deteriorated and said goodbye to the world. The literary world was deeply mourned with his death.

Was in the field of literature for 40 years, earned many honors

Rajendra Rajan has been earning a name in the field of literature for the last 40 years. Many of his poetry collections and audio collections have been released so far. Rajan also recited poetry on the Rashtrapati Bhavan stage including Doordarshan, All India Radio. Rajendra Rajan got an opportunity to recite poetry at the Poet Conference held in 16 cities of the US by International Society Committee USA. He has received many awards including Sahityashree Samman, Kanhaiya Lal Mishra Smriti Award, Mahadevi Award, Ghanana Award from Hindi Urdu Academy. On receiving the Sahitya Bhushan Award, he said that it was due to his well-wishers and fans. He continued to contribute in the field of literature. PTI
