Clashes between security forces and militants continue in Kakapora area of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir. One terrorist has been killed, while two have been rounded up. Firing is happening from both sides. In view of security, the administration has shut down internet service in the district. According to the news agency, security forces had received information that the militants were hiding in Sambora village of Kakapora. When a search operation was conducted in the area, the terrorists started firing. The security forces had to retaliate.

Terrorists opened fire at the city council office in Sopore area of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. A meeting of councilors was going on in the office at the time of the attack. Councilor Riaz Ahmed was shot dead on the spot, while Councilor Shamsuddin was injured. A policeman Shafaqat Ahmed was also injured in the attack. He was admitted to the hospital, where he also died.
Also in Anantnag on Sunday, militants attacked the bunker of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) with a grenade, but it fell on the road, killing two people. The incident took place in Sangam area of Anantnag around 7 pm on Sunday.

The footage showed a terrorist hiding his rifle inside his clothes and raining bullets on Selection Grade Constable Mohammad Yusuf and Constable Suhail Ahmed standing at a shop. The terrorist had fled into the streets after firing.
