The Aam Aadmi Party had a major success when BJP leaders Deen Bandhu and Sarabjit Singh from Kapurthala and Shiromani Akali Dal leaders Karnail Singh and Malkit Singh joined the party on Monday. Senior leaders of the AAP at the party headquarters in Chandigarh and Harpal Singh Cheema, leader of the opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, inducted these leaders into the party. He was the Akali Dal district general secretary and then BJP’s block president for two years.
Similarly, Malkit Singh of Dograwala in Kapurthala was associated with the Akali Dal for the last 15 years and held the post of District General Secretary, Secretary, and District Vice President of the party. He also served as the Vice President and Block President of the Youth Wing in the BJP for seven years.
Deen Bandhu, a resident of Chuharwal village in Kapurthala, has also been the general secretary of the BJP Mandal and the vice-president of the Naujawan Morcha. Sarabjit Singh is also a resident of Khukhren village in Kapurthala district and has been the BJP’s vice president of the block.
Welcoming all the leaders who joined the party, AAP leader Harpal Singh Cheema said that a large number of people were joining the AAP, influenced by the pro-Aam Aadmi Party policies and the policies of the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi. He said that the Kejriwal government has introduced a new model of development by making Delhi’s government schools world-class and improving the condition of government hospitals.
Today the people of Delhi are expelling their children from private schools to send them to government schools and people are getting good free treatment in hospitals of Delhi. As a result, people across the country today prefer Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal. Harpal Singh Cheema verbally attacked the Chief Minister, saying that Captain Amarinder Singh had made many promises to the people of the state before the election but did not fulfill a single promise. The captain is the most unsuccessful Chief Minister of India who has made false promises in Punjab. Cheated the people. Leaders joining the Aam Aadmi Party said that they will work diligently for the party and will contribute to forming the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab.
