Farmers in Barnala district of Punjab are making efforts at their own level to save the wheat crop from fire. Under which the people of the villages have prepared mini fire brigade vehicles at their level. Experts from the Agriculture Department and Fire Brigade Department were also imparting information to the farmers about the operation of this mini fire brigade. Farmers will be able to control the fire before the fire department vehicles arrive.
Disclosing this here today, the farmers said that last year’s wheat crop fire has increased the problem of farmers. So this time they have prepared a fire brigade vehicle at their level so that the crop can be saved by controlling the fire incident in time. The said that today experts have informed them about the use of these vehicles.
In this regard, Agriculture Officer Charanjit Singh Kenth and Retired Fire Officer Gurjit Singh said that the wheat crop is ripe and ready. But these days there are many accidents of burning the wheat crop.
As a result, hundreds of acres of crops are wasted. To avoid this, the farmers have taken initiative at their own level to manufacture mini fire brigade vehicles. This is a good initiative, which will save the crops of the farmers from fire. PTI
