Ludhiana: Traders demand lockdown

Ludhiana. In view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus in Punjab, traders have spoken of imposing lockdown. Many organizations in Ludhiana, one of the major cities of the state, have appealed to the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to impose a complete lockdown of 15 days. A few days back, CM Singh had ordered extension of weekend lockdown and night curfew in the state.

Businessmen in Ludhiana are scared of the coronavirus situation in big cities. According to the Indian Express, Sonu Nilibbabat, a member of the Ludhiana Cloth Merchants Association, says, Will become helpless like Bengaluru. In the meantime, the focus should be on the health structure and not on anyone else. ‘ “Even if it hurts our business, we fully support this lockdown,” he says.
