Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amirander Singh has accepted the resignation and voluntary retirement application of IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh. A few days ago, Captain Amarinder also tried to convince Kunwar Vijay Pratap to withdraw his resignation and application, but Kunwar did not agree. Explain that Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh was a key member of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up to investigate the Kotkapura firing case.
Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh also met Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnaur on 16 April. After meeting the Governor, Kunwar Vijay Pratap had told the media that he (Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh) had convinced Captain Amarinder Singh to accept the resignation. According to sources, Kunwar’s resignation was accepted by the captain on Monday. If he had given his full services, he would have retired in 2029.
Please tell that Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, senior member of SIT, who is investigating the Kotkapura and Bahibal Kalan cases related to the disgrace of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, canceled the SIT on behalf of the High Court and did not include Kunwar by making it a new SIT. And resigned from his post after the order to quash the investigation report. However, the government has not yet received a copy (copy) of this decision. Kunwar, in his resignation, had also demanded retiring from April 15, 2021 and waived his three-month notice period.
