Corona’s shadow on Indian boxing: 8 Indian boxer Corona positive on Turkish tour, all quarantined in Istanbul

Eight players from the Indian boxing team that visited Turkey have been found to be Corona positive. They were all quarantined in Istanbul. According to sources, in addition to coaches Dharmendra Yadav and Santosh Biramol, physio Shikha Kedia and Dr. Umesh, video analyst Nitin Kumar have been sent for isolation.
Three boxers Gaurav Solanki (57 kg), Prayag Chauhan (75 kg) and Brijesh Yadav (81 kg) were found infected a week ago. Their tournament ended on March 19. Despite this, they have to live in Quarantine. They have also won silver medals in all three Commonwealth Games.
India won 2 medals in the tournament
India won just two medals at the Bosforce tournament held in Istanbul. Both of these are bronze. One medal was won by Gaurav Solanki (57 kg) in the men’s category, while the other won Nikhat Zarine (51 kg) in the Women’s category.
Will be discharged only after negative report comes
Male boxers visiting Turkey included Lalit Prasad (52 kg), Shiva Thapa (63 kg), Duryodhan Singh Negi (69 kg), Naman Tanwar (91 kg) and Krishnan Sharma (over 91 kg). The women’s event included Zarine, Sonia Lather (57 kg), Parveen (60 kg), Jyoti Grewal (69 kg) and Pooja Saini (75 kg). All of them got corona test positive. All of them will be tested again during the 7-day quarantine. Will be discharged only after the report comes negative.
