Shock to Delhi Capitals in IPL: All-rounder Akshar Patel became Corona positive, before KKR’s Nitish Rana was also found positive

ust 6 days before the start of IPL-2021, Delhi Capitals have suffered a major setback. Team all-rounder Akshar Patel has been found to be Corona positive. The management of the capitals has confirmed the news of Akshar being infected with kerona. A statement issued by Delhi Capitals said, “Sadly, Akshar has become Kovid positive. They are isolated following IPL protocol.

Akshar is another player who has been infected by Corona. Before him, Nitish Rana of Kolkata Knight Riders also became positive. Nitish was positive on March 22 and in the report of April 1, he was found to be negative. Akshar greeted the fans on Holi on 29 May. According to Delhi Capitals, Akshar had reported to the team in Mumbai on 28 March with the Kovid Negative Report. They were then placed in a 7-day mandatory quarantine. They have been found positive in the second Kovid investigation.

Isolated will have to stay for 10 days

According to BCCI rules for IPL, corona infected players or members must remain isolated from the bio bubble for at least 10 days. The days of isolation will be counted from the beginning of the Symptoms or from the day of sample collection.

Akshar have played 97 matches in IPL so far

Akshar Patel has taken 80 wickets in 97 matches in the IPL so far. He joined the Mumbai Indians team for the first time in the 2013 season. After this he became a part of Kings XI Punjab and then Delhi Capitals. He took 9 wickets in 15 matches in the 2020 season. His role in the team has been to stop runs. He has also done this work well. Last season, his economy rate was just 6.41.
